"Prayer does not fit us for the greater work, prayer is the greater work."

Our World September Prayers
Haiti has come a long way since the January 12th 2010 earthquake. Reports say that the 1.5 million people living in camps after the event has been reduced to 595,000. And the 300,000 people (part of the 1.5 million) that lived outside of Port-au-Prince has been reduced by 270,000 because of many people and organizations helping build homes as well as the ability to find suitable land to house people. Please continue to pray for the rebuilding of a better Haiti. Check out what the Campus Ministry is still doing in Haiti.
The 1040 Window has been rocked more than usual in the past year by riots, wars, rebellions, and natural disasters. In addition to needing our ongoing prayers for the light of Christ, they need our prayers for survival and peace.
Japan has been dealing with the tsunami aftermath since it hit March 11th 2011. Rescuers have cleared most of the rubble but they have a long way to go. Suicide was a big concern before the tsunami but it has now risen to the point statistically where 1 person kills themself every 15 minutes. Please continue to pray for life to return to Japan through Jesus Christ and especially in the tsunami torn areas.
Missouri and Alabama brothers and sisters have a long road to recovery since the flood waters after the tornadoes. Hundreds still have not been able to return home because flood waters are still present. There are many health concerns as people prepare to go back to their homes to begin rebuilding. Please pray for the safety of the workers and provisions for those affected. And always pray for their hearts as times like these force people to ask the big questions which inevitably lead them to the only one with real answers... Jesus.
The Korean peninsula has had it's share of challenge this year with a long lasting rain storm causing flooding in North and South Korea. Over 8,000 were left homeless by the flood. Pray for open doors for aid and the gospel as South Korea aids North Korea in relief efforts.
The US East Coast has see it's strongest earthquake in over 50 years as well as a hurricane turned tropical storm in the same week. The events leave relatively few displaced but none the less I ask you to pray for those American brethen who were more closed minded would open themselves to the truth of the gospel in the wake of these natural disasters.
